TECH L-4X Wi-Fi – controller for underfloor and radiator heating with Internet control

TECH L-4X Wi-Fi is an advanced controller designed to manage underfloor and radiator heating systems. The device can control thermoelectric actuators installed on valves and, in mixed heating systems, also wireless electric actuators such as G-X and STT-869.

The built-in Wi-Fi module enables remote control of the heating system via the Internet using the eModul application. The controller supports both wired and wireless communication, allowing the installation to be adapted to the specific building and the devices used.

Control of underfloor and radiator heating

The L-4X Wi-Fi can operate in various heating system configurations. The controller supports 8 radiator heating zones or a mixed configuration consisting of 4 radiator heating zones and 4 underfloor heating zones.

When the ML-4X Wi-Fi extension module is used, the system can support 8 underfloor heating zones. This makes it possible to create a system suitable both for installations using a single type of heating and for buildings combining radiators with underfloor heating.

Up to 8 independent zones

The controller can manage up to 8 zones using dedicated wired room controllers, wireless system controllers or suitable temperature sensors.

When using wired C-7p temperature sensors, up to 4 zones can be supported. The device also works with the C-8f floor temperature sensor and the C-8zr outdoor temperature sensor, which enables weather-based control.

Built-in Wi-Fi and control via the eModul application

TECH L-4X Wi-Fi features a built-in Wi-Fi module, allowing the heating system to be managed remotely via the Internet. The eModul application makes it possible, among other things, to monitor system operation and change temperature settings for individual zones.

For a selected zone, a constant temperature or a temperature applicable for a specified period can be set. Weekly schedules are also available, allowing heating operation to be automatically adjusted to the users' daily routine.

Weekly schedules for each zone

Each zone can be configured with 6 weekly schedules – one local schedule and five global schedules.

• Local schedule – assigned to one specific zone.
• Global schedule – allows the same temperature settings to be applied to multiple zones.

In addition to schedules, the user can set a constant target temperature or a temperature that applies only for a specified period of time.

Heating and cooling function

The L-4X Wi-Fi supports a heating/cooling function. This means that the device can also be used to control surface cooling systems.

For this type of installation, the manufacturer indicates the possibility of using room controllers equipped with an air humidity sensor.

Wired and wireless communication

The controller allows different communication methods to be combined within a single system. Measuring devices can communicate with the controller both via wired and wireless connections.

• Wired room controllers – TECH SBUS communication using a 4-wire cable.
• Wired sensors – compatible sensors can be connected using a 2-wire cable.
• Wireless controllers and sensors – TECH WTP 868 MHz radio communication.

Support for wireless radiator actuators

In a radiator heating system, the L-4X Wi-Fi can control G-X and STT-869 wireless actuators. A maximum of 6 wireless actuators can be assigned to a single zone.

This solution makes it possible to control radiators in individual rooms and combine radiator and underfloor heating within one control system.

Support for window opening sensors

Up to 6 C-2n wireless window opening sensors can be installed in each zone. This allows information about an open window to be used by the heating control system.

This function can be particularly useful when rooms are being ventilated, as it enables the heating system to respond appropriately to changing conditions within a given zone.

Control of the pump and heating device

The controller is equipped with a 230 V output for pump control and a voltage-free contact, which can be used, for example, to activate a heating device.

The device also allows the connection of MW-1 or MW-1 230V executive modules and an i-1 or i-1m valve module.

System expansion

The L-4X Wi-Fi allows the heating system to be expanded with additional components. The controller can work with room controllers, temperature sensors, wireless radiator actuators, thermoelectric actuators and executive modules.

It is also possible to connect up to 25 thermoelectric actuators to the available voltage outputs.

Software updates via USB

The controller supports software updates via the USB port, allowing software versions provided by the manufacturer to be installed on the device.

Yes. Thanks to the built-in Wi-Fi module, the controller can be managed via the Internet using the eModul application. The user can remotely control temperatures and change the settings of individual zones.
