Photovoltaic panels
Photovoltaic panels convert light into electricity. Due to the fact that electricity generates increasingly higher household bills, solar installations are able to bring their owners measurable savings in the household budget. On the market, panels are divided into two main groups: monocrystalline modules and polycrystalline modules. Monocrystalline modules are made of monocrystalline cells and currently have the highest efficiency among all photovoltaic modules and a panel lifespan of at least 30 years. The cell is made of one crystal; high efficiency was obtained as a result of equal orientation of the crystal structure in one direction. In the case ofpolycrystalline modulesthey are produced in a more economical process. Pure semiconductor silicon is dissolved in a vacuum under protective glass and poured into molds, where it solidifies directionally at the appropriate temperature. The efficiency of polycrystalline photovoltaic cells is not significantly lower than the efficiency of monocrystalline cells. Moreover, polycrystalline panels have a great value for money, which is why they are most often chosen by customers.
