Description
Operating Principle
The ST-401N temperature controller is designed for controlling solar collector systems. The device controls the main (collector) pump based on temperature measurements taken at the collector and the storage tank. Optionally, additional devices such as a mixing pump or electric heater can be connected, as well as a signal output to a central heating boiler for ignition. Control of the circulation pump and boiler ignition signal can be handled directly by the controller, while controlling the electric heater requires an additional signal relay.
Functions Performed by the Controller
- pump operation control
- monitoring and operation of the solar system
- protection against collector overheating and freezing
Controller Equipment
- large, clear display
- collector temperature sensor
- hot water storage tank temperature sensor
- housing made of high-quality materials resistant to high and low temperatures
PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation) – a signal generated at a selected frequency with a constant preset Duty Cycle (the percentage of time during which the signal is active), i.e. the fill factor between the high and low state.
