Principle and functions of a pressure expansion vessel:

• Compensation of thermal expansion changes of water in heating systems without its loss
• Maintenance of water pressure in heating systems within specified parameters
• Optimization of conditions for heat distribution without losses
• Automatic water replenishment in the heating system in case of losses through minor leaks
• Pressure expansion vessels can be used in all types of heating systems (if the technical parameters of their construction allow it)
• Pressure expansion vessels are welded steel tanks whose internal space is divided by an elastic membrane into two parts: gas and water
• The gas section above the membrane is equipped with a pressure regulation valve
• The water section below is filled with water from the heating system
• Proper pressure in the gas section stabilizes the pressure of the entire central heating system (the system, changing its volume, maintains constant pressure)
• Pressure expansion vessels are supplied standard filled with gas at equal pressure. During installation, the pressure value in the gas section must be adjusted to the needs of the heating system
• Expansion vessels can be operated in heating systems with working temperatures up to 100°C. In heating systems with expansion vessels, at least one safety valve, thermometer and pressure gauge must be applied
