Cold air intake is a special duct mounted on customer request for an additional fee to selected fireplaces.
For proper operation, every fireplace needs an adequate amount of air. Often its shortage becomes one of the main problems with poor functioning of the insert. For a fireplace to work without problems, it must be supplied with approximately 8-10 m3/h of air per 1 kg of wood. If there is no other way, it draws air from the room in which it is located. And since it is most often located in the living room, which is a place where we spend a lot of time, in reality it indirectly "takes air from us".
