Application:
The anti-contamination check valve EA-RV284 is used as class EA protection according to PN-EN 1717 against backflow. It is installed in drinking water installations in places exposed to contact with fluid classified in category 2. It can be used as main protection on the installation connection to the water supply network, installed directly behind the water meter.
Operating principle:
The anti-contamination check valve has a movable sealing plug that is moved away from the seat closer or farther depending on the flow rate. When the flow drops to zero, a spring moves the plug to the seat, causing sealing and preventing backflow. Valve tightness, in accordance with the guidelines in standards, is guaranteed at 3 cm of backpressure water column.
