Tower Acu - hot water storage tank
Tower Acu is an enamelled hot water storage tank designed for storing and heating domestic hot water. It is a heater with one of the broadest application possibilities. The wide range of capacities from 100 to 3000 liters allows for comfortable use of the tank in residential, industrial, and public utility installations, either directly or indirectly connected to practically any heat source.
Comfortable Installation
The main hydraulic connections in the Tower Acu are designed at the rear of the heater. This ensures convenient installation and facilitates ongoing operation. The rear part also features 1/2" sockets for mounting sensor sleeves and a socket for connecting a circulation pump. Using a circulation pump in the hot water installation allows for almost instant access to water at a constant temperature at every draw-off point.
Power Supply
The water in Tower Acu tanks can be 100% heated or partially reheated using electric heaters. This is a popular solution especially when combined with a photovoltaic installation. Enamelled tanks can also work with the district heating network and through a plate heat exchanger with practically any heat source such as a central heating boiler or heat pump. Hot water tanks are also used as:
- storage for domestic water in installations requiring high simultaneous draw-off, such as public buildings, hotels, schools, etc.
- hot water stabilizers for large housing communities.
Increased Power
Even greater functionality is guaranteed by the design of the Tower Acu 2000 and 3000 tanks. Each hot water tank of these capacities can be easily converted into a hot water exchanger with one or two coils. For this purpose, tin-plated copper coils of increased power (with a surface area of 1 to 6.34 m²) and durability and a maximum working pressure of up to 50 MPa are mounted in one or two inspection openings. The tank can be equipped with a copper coil at any time during use.
Proven Insulation
The most efficient operation of the hot water tank is largely due to the appropriate insulation of the tanks. A thick layer of insulation made of:
- hard polyurethane foam - type 100-700
- removable Neodul® insulation - type 700-3000
Provides increased protection and thus long-term temperature retention of the water and low operating costs.
Safe Use
The guarantee of safe use of Galmet hot water tanks is provided by the highest quality anti-corrosion protection.
Ceramic Enamel EXTRA GLASS®
- Creates a smooth and durable protective barrier on the internal surface of the tanks.
- It is applied "wet" method, evenly over the entire surface and fired at 850°C, ensuring its exceptional durability.
- The enamel's effectiveness is complemented by a standardly installed magnesium anode.
Titanium Anode
In the Tower Acu heater, a maintenance-free, active titanium anode can also be optionally used, which does not require servicing (in models 2000 and 3000 they are installed as standard).
