By using the ENERGY MANAGER EM-1-T energy management module, you have full control over the operation of your buffer/boiler. This innovative module is the simplest solution that transforms heat buffer into an efficient energy storage.
The EM-1-T module plays a key role in controlling the heating element of the heat buffer, such as a CWU boiler. Its task is to maintain a constant temperature T1, ensuring the comfort of using CWU water, functioning as a traditional thermostat (T mode).
In the event that the power generated by the photovoltaic installation PG, measured by the impulse signal from the electric energy meter, exceeds the set value or when the additional contact P is activated, the EM-1-T module automatically switches to energy storage mode (E mode). In this mode, it allows the buffer to be heated to a higher temperature T2 and accumulates the available surplus of electric energy. The CWU tank then serves as an energy storage, and the surplus is not transferred to the grid but used locally to heat the buffer. The entire process is fully automatic and requires no additional handling once the module is set up.
