Description
HPH Hygienic — hygienic flow buffer tanks
The HPH Hygienic series buffer tanks are designed for efficient and hygienic preparation of domestic hot water in flow mode. The product uses stored thermal energy from the heating system and transfers it directly to domestic water through an integrated large-surface heat exchanger. This ensures that water is heated quickly and only at the moment of draw-off — minimizing energy losses and making the solution particularly suitable for low-temperature heating systems (e.g., heat pumps).
Hygienic water preparation
The heat exchanger is made of corrugated AISI-316L stainless steel tubing, a material with high corrosion resistance and hygienic properties. The exchanger’s design reduces the risk of bacterial growth (including Legionella), eliminating the need for high-temperature disinfection. This allows for economical and safe preparation of hot water without the necessity of periodic heating to very high temperatures.
Applications and functions
HPH Hygienic buffer tanks can operate as a separating element for glycol–water circuits, as well as for combining two heat sources operating at different working pressures. Thanks to their robust, maintenance-free construction, the devices do not require annual servicing or replacement of the magnesium anode — reducing operating costs compared to traditional enamelled water heaters.
Main advantages
- Flow heating — hot water only at the moment of draw-off.
- Exchanger made of AISI-316L stainless steel — high hygiene and corrosion resistance.
- Reduced Legionella risk — no need for high-temperature disinfection.
- Compatible with low-temperature systems (e.g., heat pumps).
- Can separate glycol–water circuits and combine sources at different pressures.
- Maintenance-free operation — no annual magnesium anode inspection.
- Longer service life compared to traditional enamelled heaters.
Typical applications
- Residential and multi-family buildings.
- Public utility and commercial buildings.
- Installations with heat pumps and low-temperature sources.
- Systems requiring separation of heating medium (glycol–water).
The use of an HPH Hygienic buffer tank is a choice of an energy-efficient solution, safe for users' health and requiring minimal maintenance. It is a modern alternative to traditional enamelled water heaters.
