Principle and functions of a pressure expansion vessel:

• Compensation of thermal expansion changes of water in heating systems without loss
• Maintenance of water pressure in heating systems at specified parameters
• Optimization of conditions for heat distribution without losses
• Automatic water replenishment in the heating system in case of losses due to minor leaks
• Pressure expansion vessels can be used in all types of heating systems (if the technical parameters of their construction allow)
• Pressure expansion vessels are welded steel tanks, whose internal space is divided by an elastic membrane into two parts: gas and water
• The gas part above the membrane is equipped with a pressure regulation valve
• The water part below is filled with water from the heating system
• Proper pressure in the gas part stabilizes the pressure of the entire central heating system (the system changes its volume while maintaining constant pressure)
• Pressure expansion vessels are supplied standard filled with gas at equal pressure. During installation, the pressure value in the gas part must be adjusted to the needs of the heating system
• Expansion vessels can be operated in heating systems with working temperatures up to 100°C. In heating systems with expansion vessels, at least one safety valve, thermometer and pressure gauge must be used
