Principle and functions of the pressure expansion tank:

• Compensation of thermal expansion changes of water in heating systems without water loss
• Maintaining water pressure in heating systems within specified parameters
• Optimization of conditions for heat distribution without losses
• Automatic water replenishment in the heating system in case of losses due to minor leaks
• Pressure expansion tanks can be used in all types of heating systems (if the technical parameters of their construction allow)
• Pressure expansion tanks are welded steel tanks whose internal space is divided by an elastic membrane into two gas and water parts
• The gas part above the membrane is equipped with a pressure regulation valve
• The water part below is filled with water from the heating system
• Proper pressure in the gas part stabilizes the pressure of the entire central heating system (the system, changing its volume, maintains constant pressure)
• Pressure expansion tanks are supplied standard filled with gas at equal pressure. During installation, the pressure value in the gas part must be adjusted to the needs of the heating system
• Expansion tanks can be operated in heating systems with operating temperature up to 100°C. In heating systems with expansion tanks, at least one safety valve, thermometer and manometer must be used
