The magnesium anode must be replaced at least once every 18 months (check the condition of the anode wear every 12 months) - replacement is not covered under warranty service (you must keep receipts for anode purchases and entries in the warranty card about its replacement). Regular replacement of the magnesium anode is a condition for maintaining the tank warranty.
