At least once every 18 months the magnesium anode must be replaced (check the anode wear condition every 12 months) - replacement is not covered by warranty service (keep receipts for anode purchases and entries in the warranty card about its replacement). Regular replacement of the magnesium anode is a condition for maintaining the tank warranty.
