Boiler Components

The Eko Silver boiler is made of certified boiler plate, shaped and welded to form the boiler's water body. One of the components of the body is a tubular heat exchanger equipped with spiral screws. To enhance combustion efficiency, the combustion chamber is fitted with ceramic plates. To minimize heat loss outside the boiler, mineral wool insulation is placed between the casing and the heat exchanger.

Pellet Burner

The design and operating algorithm enable the device to work autonomously. The burner's combustion chamber is self-cleaning due to its movable grate and special scraper. With a low power consumption averaging 40W or less, the burner is classified as an economical and ecological device with low emissions. The burner chamber, fully enclosed within the boiler, does not come into contact with the burner's external surfaces during operation, thus preventing dangerous temperatures. The burner operates fully automatically, from ignition through combustion to extinguishing and cleaning ash and clinkers.

Pellet Feeder

The pellet feeder is used to deliver and transport fuel (pellets) to the burner and consists of:

• A steel tube with a flexible auger
• A flexible plastic feed pipe
• A gear motor

Cleaning Mechanism

A mechanism with spiral screws is placed in the tubular part of the heat exchanger. The spiral screws serve two functions: improving boiler efficiency by creating turbulence in the flue gas flow through the exchanger and maintaining the cleanliness of the heat exchanger surface.

Fuel Hopper

The fuel hopper stores the fuel (pellets) needed for the boiler's automatic operation. The filling level should be checked every 24 hours or as often as necessary to prevent it from emptying completely.

Ash Pan

The ash pan is located at the bottom of the boiler and can be emptied through the ash pan door.

The boiler's primary fuel is pellets with the following specifications:

• Diameter: ø 6 or 8 mm
• Length: max 4 to 5 times the pellet diameter
• Fine fraction content (sawdust and dust below 3 mm): no more than 1%
• Calorific value: above 17 MJ/kg
• Ash content: maximum 0.5%
• Moisture content: below 12%
• Pellets must not contain loose inclusions such as bark or wood pieces

The EKO SILVER III is a heating device with seasonal dust emissions of up to 20 mg/m³, making it eligible for higher subsidies.
