Application:
The backflow prevention valve EA-RV284 is used as class EA protection according to PN-EN 1717 against reverse flow. It is installed in drinking water installations in areas exposed to contact with fluid classified as category 2. It can be used as main protection on the installation connection to the water supply network, installed directly behind the water meter.
Operating principle:
The backflow prevention valve has a movable sealing disc that is moved away from the seat closer or farther depending on the flow rate. When the flow drops to zero, the spring moves the disc to the seat, causing sealing and preventing reverse flow. The valve sealing, in accordance with the guidelines in the standards, is ensured at 3 cm back water column.
